Does anyone have speculation on when Elizabeth and Felicity will be back in the catalog?

What an exciting time for girls. I remember when Felicity was introduced and how thrilled we were to see a new doll in the catalog.

I can't wait to see the catalog pictures of her and all the new items! I've seen all the AG place ones and a few personal pics, but I just love looking at the catalog displays. It used to be the only way I got to see the girls and their collections, so I'm looking forward to feeling like a kid again with my catalog!!

So if we are expecting her in the catalogs on Sept. 1 do you think they will just put in the doll and starter accessories? Since they wanted to wait and build up to the movie release for the rest of the goodies?

I agree that looking at the catalog displays is so cool. I think the older Pleasant Company ones were cooler. (full size doll, a page per story)

I honestly think I would be willing to pay a fee for a "Holiday Catalog" or something that had the entire stock of items in it, like the old catalogs used to. The looking on the internet is just not as cool.

Thanks for the welcome. New to the board, but not at all to American Girls. My aunt has the 32nd samantha ever made (her bottom is numbered and signed by Pleasant Rowland). I started reading books and lusting after the things in the catalogs right then, but it was quite a few years after that that I ever got a doll. Kirsten was my first doll and she isn't a white body. I now have all the historical dolls (except Nellie and Elizabeth) and an AGoT. My most recent doll was Kaya which I got 2 years ago.

Since my husband would think I was crazy if I played with the dolls, I just dress them seasonally and am working to aquire all the outfits. I didn't have more than a couple when I was a little kid and when I was young enough to play I only had Kirsten, Felicity and Addy.

I've been lurking for a bit, but the Elizabeth frenzy has really made me want to post.

I agree, I would pay even $10-15 for a comprehensive catalog. I don't see why they can't charge, say, $10 and give you a $5 gift certificate like many other companies do. AG is not scared of using loss leaders - witness the current club renewal offer, which basically gives you stars and a free charm for absolutely nothing.

I would LOVE a full complete catalog! I've never seen all of Addy's or Josefina's outfits or accessories displayed in a catalog. And yes, I would pay for one as well, probably even get 2 or 3 of them!

Maybe we need to start writing in.

I would LOVE a full catalog and the pay more, get a gift certificate idea is pretty common.

I wish I had all (okay, some 15+ years years might be a bit much) of my old catalogs.

Add me to that list! I would love an extensive catalog like AG used to put out! Those used to focus mostly on the historicals, and those girls were ALWAYS what you saw first in the catalog. For some reason, I don't like the modern stuff before the historicals. I guess I like it to be in order accoriding to the years. I too also wish I had more of my old catalogs. My sister and I used to get so many of them! Eventually we had to clear them out (for space, I suppose) so we kept our very first one that we got and any of the ones that were different. Like more of Addy's collection, more AGT stuff, etc. For the catalogs we threw away, we tore off the front covers and saved those. So I've got several catalogs and about 20 covers. I'm glad I at least saved those since the insides were alot alike. I have bought a few catalogs off ebay, and I occasionally look for more. I just love the old way of the catalogs!
